Polepower™
PolePower™ is a wind power solution for free-standing or guyed masts. The systems are available with a vertical (VAWT) or horizontal (HAWT) axis.
Technology
- VAWT: Low-noise, wind direction-independent dual vertical axis wind turbine, ideal for turbulent air flows.
- HAWT: The horizontal axis wind turbine is the most commonly used design for large wind turbines. These wind turbines actively align themselves with the wind direction in order to efficiently generate electricity. They are particularly suitable for constant, uniform wind conditions and therefore at high altitudes with laminar flows.
- All-in-one solution: Includes inverter, controller and optional energy meter and storage.
- The electricity generated can either be used directly or fed into the grid.
- Available in various sizes with outputs from 1 kW to 100 kW, rotor diameters from 2 to 30 metres and a hub height of up to 50 metres.
Possible applications
PolePower™ can be used to supply electricity to municipalities, housing estates, farms, industrial and commercial buildings and agricultural businesses. In urban environments, the system can be used to light roads, car parks or sports fields. It is also ideal for remote buildings such as mountain chalets, holiday homes and research stations. PolePower™ also provides a reliable, self-sufficient source of energy for communication and monitoring equipment such as cameras or aerials.
